Getting Started with TaskBoard365

Learn the basics in 5 minutes and start managing projects like a pro.

1. Create Your First Board

After signing up, you'll see your dashboard. Click the "New Board" button to create your first project board.

  • Choose a meaningful name (e.g., "Marketing Campaign", "Product Launch")
  • Select a color or background that helps you identify it quickly
  • Pick a template if you want pre-configured columns

Your board will open with default columns: To Do, In Progress, and Done. You can customize these later!

2. Add Cards (Tasks)

Cards represent individual tasks or items in your project. To add a card:

  • Click "+ Add Card" at the bottom of any column
  • Give it a clear, action-oriented title (e.g., "Design homepage mockup")
  • Click on the card to add details:
    • Description
    • Due date
    • Labels/tags
    • Subtasks
    • File attachments

Tip: Drag and drop cards between columns as work progresses!

3. Invite Your Team

Collaboration is easy with TaskBoard365. To invite team members:

  • Click the "Invite" button in your workspace
  • Enter their email addresses
  • Choose their role:
    • Admin: Full control, can invite others
    • Member: Can create and edit cards
    • Viewer: Read-only access (free, doesn't count toward limits)

They'll receive an email invitation to join your workspace!

4. Organize with Labels

Labels help you categorize and filter cards:

  • Click on a card, then click "Labels"
  • Create labels for different categories:
    • Priority (High, Medium, Low)
    • Type (Bug, Feature, Design)
    • Team (Marketing, Engineering, Sales)
  • Color-code them for quick visual identification

Pro tip: Use the filter button to show only cards with specific labels!

5. Track Time (Pro Feature)

If you're on the Pro plan, you can track time spent on tasks:

  • Open any card
  • Click the timer icon to start tracking
  • The timer runs in the background while you work
  • Click again to stop and log the time

View time reports in the Analytics dashboard to see where your team's hours are going.

Quick Tips for Success

Use keyboard shortcuts: Press "?" to see all available shortcuts
Archive completed cards to keep boards clean
Set board visibility to Private, Workspace, or Public
Use the search bar (Ctrl+K) to find cards across all boards
Export boards to Excel for reporting (Pro plan)
Enable email notifications in Settings to stay updated
